Week 1 in the AFC North
After a sloppy first game from the Ravens on Thursday, we'll look into how the other AFC North teams fared in week 1.
The Cincinnati Bengals lost a close game to the Chicago Bears, 24-21. They were up by as much as 11 in the second half, but a late surge by the Bears and this touchdown catch by Brandon Marshall sealed the win for the Bears.
Bengals QB Andy Dalton threw for 282 yards and two touchdowns along with two interceptions, without receiving much help from the running game.
AJ Green went off today, scoring two touchdowns and catching nine passes for 162 yards. He's quickly become one of the best WRs in the league.
Although leading 7-6 at halftime, the Cleveland Browns were blown out in the second half by the Miami Dolphins for a final score of 23-10.
Brandon Weeden went 26 for 53 with one TD and three interceptions. The Browns offense didn't receive much assistance from their star RB Trent Richardson, who had 13 carries for only 47 yards.
The one bright spot today for the Cleveland Browns was TE Jordan Cameron. The former USC Trojan had nine catches for 108 yards and a TD.
The Pittsburgh Steelers lost to the Tennessee Titans 16-9, even though they were able to safety the Titans on the first kick-off. The Steelers were only able to amass 195 net yards of offense.
Big Ben threw for only 191 yards with one TD in the final minutes of the game, and an interception.
Steelers Run Game
The Steelers used three running backs and rushed 15 times against the Titans, gaining only 32 yards. The Steelers need to figure out their run game if they hope to make the playoffs this year.
