When ravens travel, they normally do so through the air. That's true for both the real birds as well as the NFL team.
Or, at least, that's what Baltimore wanted you to think.
On Saturday — April Fools' Day — the Ravens tweeted a video and story that featured John Harbaugh claiming his team would be sailing to their Week 3 game in London as opposed to flying.
Give credit to the coach, too, as he came across very serious in the mock interview where he details his thought process for taking a boat instead of a plane across the pond.
"We try to be on the cutting edge," Harbaugh told Ravens.com, citing the potential health benefits that sailing would present to his players.
The idea that an NFL team would look for any advantage that may them help win a game isn't a stretch, which makes the story feel real at first. But other outlets confirmed with the Ravens that they were indeed joking, which also became apparent once they started touting the boat with a full-size football field that they were planning to ride.
Besides, if a franchise was actually going to do this, everyone knows it'd be Jerry Jones and the Cowboys.
