Ravens safety Eric Weddle grew up in San Bernadino County, California, and played the first nine seasons of his NFL career for the Chargers.
His former team announced Thursday that the franchise would relocate to Los Angeles ahead of the 2017 season. As a Southern Californian and Chargers alum, Weddle reacted strongly to the news.
Chargers leaving is TERRIBLE. Sad day for everyone who supported the chargers. City and people are amazing. SD will always be my home!!!

Emphatic use of all caps, Eric.
Understandably, the veteran safety feels very attached to San Diego. As do the fans. After all, the Chargers had been located in the city since 1961. That's more than 50 years of history and loyalties alienated.
To add insult to injury, the team released a roundly mocked new logo. Weddle reacted poorly to that, too.
I made some improvements to the Chargers new logo with my photoshop skills. Do you like it @BenKFAN? pic.twitter.com/NzdyPXcQjR

Here are some of the many, many logo jokes floating around Twitter.
"What should our new logo be?"
"How about the Dodgers' one, except ours will look like a sperm cell attacking a pair of pants?
