The 2018 Team USA Men’s Olympic Hockey rose looks a bit different in PyeongChang, South Korea.

With the NHL forbidding professional players for participating in the 2018 Winter Olympics, the Team USA hockey roster is comprised of former NHL players, amateurs and collegiate hockey stars.

The 2018 Team USA Olympic Hockey Roster consists of two players familiar to Capitals fans and a Northern Virginia native.

Current Hershey Bears forward Chris Bourque, son of NHL legend Ray Bourque, spent three seasons with the Capitals and has been a staple of the Bears franchise for the better part of the past decade. Ryan Stoa played for Hershey from 2012 until 2014, and saw limited time with the Capitals during the 2013-14 season.

Garrett Roe, a Vienna, Va. native, also got the nod for Team USA. The 29-year-old currently plays for EV Zug in Switzerland following a standout career at St. Cloud State.

Team USA will compete in Group B, along with Russia, Slovakia and Slovenia.
