It was the save seen around the world and now, it's been named the "save of the decade."

Heading into Game 2 of the 2018 Stanley Cup Final against the Las Vegas Golden Knights, the Capitals were down one game to zero, until Braden Holtby made "The Save."

Named the "save of the decade" by the NHL, Holtby's diving stick save on Alex Tuch's shot on a wide-open net will never be forgotten by Caps fans. As mentioned in the tribute video, "the save" is credited with turning the series around and leading the Caps to their first-ever Stanley Cup championship.

"It's one of those things you dream about as a kid," Holtby said.

"The save" will not only be remembered as the greatest in Capitals history, but in the decade as well.
