After back-to-back losses to the Flyers and Rangers, the Capitals were in need of a strong performance. Saturday proved to be just that.
Picking up a 5-2 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins on Saturday, Washington finally looked like the team that had dominated to start the season. The victory helped Washington remain in a tie with Philadelphia at the top of the division standings.
Now, the Capitals will look to start a winning streak and potentially earn some separation in the Metropolitan race on Monday against the Sabres. Buffalo has been struggling as of late, coming in losers of 6 straight contests.
Here's everything you need to know about Caps-Sabres.

CAPITALS at SABRES PLAYERS TO WATCH
T.J. Oshie, RW, Capitals (26-23-49):
Oshie broke a long scoreless drought on Saturday against the Penguins. If the Caps want to make a deep run in the coming months, they'll need more production out of scorers like Oshie. Ovechkin can't do it all.
Jack Eichel, C, Sabres(35-42-77):
If Buffalo wants to get back on track, it starts with their point leader. Eichel has had a dominant season and can do it all on the ice. In order for the Capitals to come out with a win, they'll have to keep him in check.
