The Washington Capitals season has been filled with trading blows with their opponents, and no game showcased that more so than last Friday. The Capitals came back from 5-1 to win a 6-5 shootout against the Vancouver Canucks. After that, they staved off the Toronto Maple Leafs with a 4-3 win.

John Carlson and Alex Ovechkin both carried the Caps to victory in that contest, as both notched a pair of goals each. Carlson had a historic October, setting the franchise record for points scored by a defenseman with 23 (seven goals, 16 assists). Ovechkin's two goals lifted him up to a tie for second place in the goal scorer standings with 11, one behind both Leon Draisaitl and David Pastmak. He also shared a nice heartwarming reunion with his good friend Alex Luey

Buffalo comes in with an identical 9-2 record, thanks in large part to the production of Jack Eichel. The Sabres center already has 17 points on seven goals and 10 assists this year.

Here's how you can catch all of the action.
