There have been over 12,000 episodes of The Tonight Show, but only one of them has included the Stanley Cup champion Washington Capitals.
On Monday night, Alex Ovechkin and Braden Holtby sat down and had some fun with Jimmy Fallon.
The Caps have been celebrating like crazy since clinching the first Stanley Cup in team history last Thursday in Las Vegas, and they didn't slow down on national television.
Unsurprisingly, Ovechkin and Holtby brought the Stanley Cup with them to the show, so of course, they joined Jimmy Fallon and recent Triple Crown-winning jockey Mike Smith in taking a drink out of the Cup.
Fallon also requested the help of the Capitals in doing his own keg stand, but he had nothing on Ovi's recent shenanigans.

Washington Capitals Alex Ovechkin & Braden Holtby celebrate their NHL Stanley Cup win with Jimmy Fallon and Triple Crown-winning jockey Mike Smith!Posted by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Monday, June 11, 2018
Like most late night appearances, Ovechkin and Holtby were there to smile and celebrate their historic win, but they also talked a little about what it meant to bring a championship to Washington.
When discussing his great play in net during the playoffs, Holtby said he just "closes his eyes and hopes for the best," which somehow we doubt is entirely accurate.
Fallon also had some fun with the fact that Ovechkin is the one on the cover of Sports Illustrated, and not Holtby. It's no surprise that a megastar would have the cover all to himself, and as Fallon himself pointed out to Holtby - "There's always next month."
We put together a thread of the best moments, and Capitals twitter account was kind enough to document the trip for the fans.
