In The Loop: Esposito congratulates Ovechkin, Henry's gift

First up in our look around the sports world: 718.

The Great 8, Alex Ovechkin, now owns sole possession of sixth place on the NHL's all-time goals list after passing Phil EspositoOn Tuesday against the New York Islanders, Ovi reached the milestone by blasting a one-timer on a power play, and it was beautiful.

As if reaching the milestone wasn't special enough, Esposito made a video congratulating Ovechkin on the accomplishment.

Next up, Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry had himself a heck of a season last year, becoming the eighth player in NFL history to rush for 2,000+ yards in a season.

While Henry did most of the work, his offensive linemen paved the way for the historic campaign. To say thanks, Henry gifted his guys a chain that says "2k," representing the 2,000 rushing yards he put up in the 2020 season.

Lastly, in honor of St. Patrick's Day this week, the Pittsburgh Penguins sported green sweaters for their game against the Boston Bruins Tuesday night.

Unfortunately, their luck ran out as the Bruins got the 2-1 victory.
