NBC Sports Washington will serve as the official exclusive local broadcaster for the Capitals' upcoming Professional Women's Hockey Players Association (PWHPA) showcase this weekend, the team announced conjointly with PWHPA on Thursday.

Nationally, NBC Sports Washington's broadcast will be carried on NHL Network. North of the border, Canadian channel TSN will air NBCSW's broadcast on both Saturday and Sunday, too.

The showcase will take place on both Saturday, March 4, and Sunday, March 5, at MedStar Capitals IcePlex in Arlington, Va. Four total games will be played as part of the 2022-23 Secret Dream Gap Tour. It's the second straight year the Capitals will host a stop on the tour.

Additionally, NBC Sports Washington will air a special edition of Capitals Pregame Live: Celebrating Women in Hockey in between both games on Saturday and Sunday. Capitals Pregame Live host Alexa Landestoy will serve as the special host for both shows.

Puck drop for the opening game on both Saturday and Sunday is at 11 a.m. ET. The second game is expected to begin at 2 p.m. ET with the special edition of Capitals Pregame Live in between.

The broadcast team consists of TSN's play-by-play voice Kenzie Lalonde, color analyst Liz Knox and rinkside reporter Courtney Laughlin.

Over 40 combined Olympians from Team USA and Team Canada are part of the tour. This weekend's stop will be the final weekend of the PWHPA regular season before the playoffs begin.
