In Game 1, the Caps didn't get a shot on goal against the Carolina Hurricanes until the ninth minute of the first period. With the pressure ramped up in the first period of Game 2, Nicklas Backstrom made sure he continued his hot start after scoring two goals in Game 1.
Three minutes into the start of Game 2, Alex Ovechkin carried the puck into the offensive zone, faked a slap shot, then passed the puck to Backstrom, and he beat Petr Mrazek back-door.
The goal looks eerily familiar to his second goal against the Hurricanes on the power play.
Backstrom passed Daniel Alfredsson for sole possession of fourth all-time in playoff points by a Swede with 101.

With an assist on the play, Ovechkin is on an eight game point streak dating back to the 2018 playoffs.
