Alex Ovechkin loves scoring goals, but the Washington Capitals captain loves scoring goals against the Ottawa Senators.Â
Only one player has enjoyed playing against the Canadian team more, former Capital forward Jaromir Jagr. In 79 games against the Senators, Jagr scored 44 goals; meanwhile, Ovechkin has 35 goals in 50 games.Â
On Saturday night, the 36-year-old continued his torrid pace against the team representing Canada's capital. He spearheaded the Capitals comeback win over the Senators, scoring the first two goals for Washington to pull even.
Furthermore, the Washington captain has found the back of the net in 70%-percent of all games he has played against the Senators.
Currently, Ovechkin is chasing Jagr for third all-time on the NHL's all-time goals scored list. However, by the time he calls it a career, Ovechkin could take over the former Capital as the player to have terrorized Ottawa the most in the team's history.Â
