The last part of the Capitals' Stanley Cup celebration concluded Wednesday night, when they raised their Stanley Cup banner into the rafters in Capital One Arena.
The moment was one the Capitals faithful has been waiting ever since June 7, when they defeated the Vegas Golden Knights in Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final and won their first ever championship in franchise history.
For some, the wait has been a lot longer than a few short months, as the Capitals went 44 years before hoisting the Cup.
Even Tom Wilson took part in the celebration, despite not being able to play because of his suspension.
This is a moment that Caps players and fans will never forget. Fortunately, they can watch it over and over again.
