Tarik's 3 stars: Vegas' fourth line dominates the third period in Game 1

Capitals

LAS VEGAS — Fourth liners struck three times in the third period, including an empty-netter, and the Golden Knights skated off with a wild 6-4 victory over the Caps in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final.

Tom Wilson gave the Caps a 4-3 lead early in the final frame, but the visitors couldn’t contain Vegas’ fourth line.

First, heavyweight Ryan Reaves tied the score after clearing space by cross-checking John Carlson to the ice. Then, Tomas Nosek scored the first of his two goals, sniping a crossing pass to provide the winner with about 10 minutes left to play.

Here are Tarik El-Bashir's 3 stars of Game 1.
