Axel Jonsson-Fjallby was sent down this past week by the Washington Capitals, and the 23-year-old forward initiated the famous GIANT Teddy Bear Toss for the Hershey Bears.Â
Jonsson-Fjallby had some space to get a shot off at the top of the face-off circle, beating the Hartford Wolf Pack goalie as it began raining teddy bears at the Giant Center.Â

Jonsson-Fjallby has played nine games in his rookie season with the Capitals. The winger has one assist playing mostly as a depth piece.
The Bears will donate the teddy bears and stuffed animals collected from the ice to more than 25 local organizations. The franchise has collected an estimated 269,858 plush toys since 2001, with 2019 setting a world record 45,650 stuffed animals flying to the ice.
