DC Defenders

On some days, nothing goes right. Sunday was another one of those days for the DC Defenders.

The Defenders were outplayed in every facet of the game against the Tampa Bay Vipers in a 25-0 loss.

Tampa topped the Defenders in all-purpose yards (477-107) on first downs (29-6).

The Defenders topped the Vipers in punts, but that is the one stat you don't want to be leading in.

Sunday's blowout comes a week after getting shellacked 39-9 in Los Angeles against the Wildcats after Ex-Redskin Josh Johnson tore up the Defenders' defense for 278 passing yards and three touchdowns.

DC has now lost two in a row on the road after starting the season off a promising 2-0 at home at Audi Field.

Cardale Jones and the squad will look to get back on track next Sunday in the nation's capital when they host the 3-1 St. Louis BattleHawks.
