While fans may not be able to enjoy a D.C. United game in person at Audi Field this season, the club created a way for fans to show their support from afar.

For the remainder of the season, D.C. United will give fans the opportunity to submit an image of their choice, which can will made into a cardboard cutout and displayed in the stadium during matches. The fan cutouts will sit in sections 123-131 at Audi Field and can be purchased online for $50 each.

A portion of the proceeds will go to help the team’s continued mission of supporting healthcare workers and other local community initiatives.

A number of teams around Major League Baseball have adopted cutout fans this season while the NBA has used a virtual display of fans around their courts in the bubble. Each team to do so has come away with lots of laughs and meme-worthy moments.

With the return to regular-season games at home markets underway, cutouts can be purchased on a first-come, first-served basis at dcunited.com/matchday/cutouts.
