See it: DC United's Najar scores first MLS goal since 2011

Andy Najar began his professional career with DC United, spending three years with the club from 2010 to 2013. The 28-year-old then spent seven seasons with Belgium's Anderlecht and returned to MLS last year with LAFC.

Najar returned this season to a club that's comfortable in DC United, signing on as a free agent in April. Nara has made 22 appearances between LAFC and the Black and Red since returning to MLS.

After falling behind CF Montréal, Nara's strike before the half marked his first MLS goal since, as the Washington Post's Steven Goff pointed out, 2011 when he was 18 years old.

DC United is battling for a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference and taking three points against teams in the middle of that race like Montréal helps Hernán Losada's squad.
