Dalton 'doesn't really remember what happened' on scary hit

After taking a scary, and dirty, hit from Washington linebacker Jon Bostic, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Andy Dalton remained down on the field. Only after a few minutes did Dalton get up with help from the staff, and he did not return to the contest.

Cameras on the FOX broadcast caught Dalton visibly shaken up and looking slightly lost as he recovered from the moment.

Following the game, quarterback Ben DiNucci, who took over for Dalton, noted that the veteran passer didn't have much recollection of the play. Dalton "doesn't really remember what happened," DiNucci said.

It's not a surprise that Dalton's memory of the play was a little fuzzy. Bostic led directly his helmet after the Dallas quarterback had already started to slide to end the play, colliding with Dalton's head in an incredibly dangerous way. The fact that Dalton was able to get up exit the field standing up was a good sign within itself.

The hit warranted an ejection by game officials and had Washington head coach Ron Rivera noting that his linebacker could not make that type of mistake going forward.
