As the Washington Football Team prepares for a Week 5 clash with the New Orleans Saints at home, two more key contributors are battling injuries ahead of the game.

Wide receiver Curtis Samuel and defensive tackle Daron Payne were listed as questionable on Washington's injury report Friday. Running back Antonio Gibson sat out of Wednesday's practice but returned as a limited participant on Thursday. He is questionable for Week 5 as well.

Samuel practiced for the first time all week on Friday after making his debut with the team in Week 4 as the wide receiver continues to deal with a groin injury. Payne on the other hand is a new addition to the injury report late in the week. Ron Rivera said Payne had an issue with his toe "flare up" and that they'll know more about his status Saturday morning.

Payne and Samuel aren't the only injuries to key players Washington has had to deal with this week. Both right guard Brandon Scherff (knee) and Logan Thomas (hamstring) were lost for multiple weeks after the Atlanta Falcons game, while wide receivers Dyami Brown and Cam Sims were listed as out for Week 5 as well.

This isn't the best week to lose a few offensive starters, either. The Saints are the second-best run defense in the league so far this season and are fourth in total takeaways through four games.
