Dwayne Haskins took to Twitter on Tuesday to apologize for "creating a distraction" after concerning photos of him partying mask-less recently surfaced.
Here are the posts Haskins sent out just after the Washington Football Team acknowledged that it was aware of the situation:
Haskins deleted his Twitter account briefly Tuesday afternoon before bringing it back and making it private. His Instagram account was also made private.
The apology is a start, but this thing is by no means over.
According to Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network, while Washington has no plans to release Haskins, they have options when it comes to fining or suspending him. For someone who hasn't exactly been in the good graces of Ron Rivera all year, one of those outcomes could be coming soon.
Plus, as Haskins noted himself, this is now a major storyline for a group that Rivera wants solely focused on making the postseason.
For someone who earned some respect on Sunday afternoon for almost coming back against the Seahawks, Haskins has now undone whatever progress thanks to an off-field decision he made just a short time after the game concluded.
