Dwayne Haskins was excited about getting back on the field for the Washington Football Team Sunday against the 49ers and he didn't try to hide it.
Ten weeks after he was demoted from starter to third-string quarterback, Haskins came in to replace an injured Alex Smith in the second half and save a fourth-straight win for Washington, vaulting them to first place in the NFC East.
He was so happy to get back on the field he nearly broke down in his postgame presser, and then shortly after the game tweeted how thankful he was to play in live-action again.
"Man I missed you football," Haskins wrote. "Beyond grateful and thankful. 1st in the division. Wow God is good."
Haskins went 7-for-12 on his passes for 51 yards and despite nearly throwing a costly interception late, did enough to keep his team in front.
