The gates of FedExField will be open to NFL fans at full capacity for the first time in over a year and a half Friday when the Washington Football Team hosts the Cincinnati Bengals for their second preseason game. All spectators over the age of two, regardless of COVID-19 vaccination status, will be required to wear face coverings when indoors.
Fans won’t be asked to put on a mask when outdoors, including the open-air seating bowl, main and upper concourses, outdoor ramps and plazas, suites with open or removed windows and the parking lot. However, the team recommends that unvaccinated fans wear a mask both indoors and outdoors, except when “actively eating or drinking.”
Stadium officials will issue a verbal warning to fans who don’t comply with the mask policy before removing them from the park if they continue to resist, in accordance with Prince George’s County stipulations. Masks must cover the mouth and nose while being secured under the chin.
FedExField will also be a cashless venue. Only debit and credit cards or mobile phone payment will be accepted at concession stands. Each concession lane will also have hand sanitizer stations available for use. The team asks that fans maintain social distancing practices throughout the stadium as well.
Kickoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. All gates will open two hours before the game begins. Coverage on NBC Sports Washington starts with Washington Football Today at 6 p.m. Stay tuned after the game as well with Washington Football Team Postgame Live.
