Saying the Washington Football Team fan base is happy with what Alex Smith did on Monday in Pittsburgh is like saying that the wheel was a useful invention. Duh.
However, Burgundy and Gold supporters aren't the only ones who are grateful for Smith's nearly 300-yard evening in Washington's still-hard-to-believe-win over the Steelers.
Because of what Smith and his teammates pulled off in Week 13, the Steelers now have one loss. That means the Chiefs are squarely back in the race for the No. 1 seed in the AFC and home-field advantage throughout the postseason.
And that means there were a lot of Kansas City folks thanking their former quarterback on Twitter for that result:
How about this one? Smith got himself a graphic and everything!:
A lot of signal callers have a difficult time getting approval from one group of fans; just ask Carson Wentz.
Smith, though, found a way to capture the hearts of two groups on Monday. The guy just continues to impress, doesn't he?
