Mic'd up: Washington safety Landon Collins at practice

series

Few people exude infectious energy at practice like Washington safety Landon Collins.

Collins was the latest to get mic'd up at practice for the Burgundy and Gold, and coming off a ruptured Achilles injury last October he unsurprisingly brought all the vibes.

Starting off hot with a little Soulja Boy sing-a-long, Collins' most repeated phrase of the session was emblematic of the kind of confidence the leader of the secondary has in his seventh season in the NFL.  Related: Kam Curl learning from Landon Collins, veteran secondary unit

"Hey I'm 5-0," Collins said.

Collins, 27, provided the juice with a little trash talk to offensive guys like Steven Sims ("You're looking small" -- ouch!) with fellow safety Kam Curl having his back. From then on, Collins' energy was all positive towards his guys on the defensive end, including some encouragement for rookie cornerback Benjamin St-Juste and some love for Jonathan Allen.

When guys speak with Collins, it's nothing but positivity. Defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio told him was doing outstanding while stretching, and Allen was filling him in on some home improvements.

Collins was all positive vibes after completing his 10-month return in Washington's second preseason game against the Patriots, too.

"It felt awesome to be back out there," Collins told NBC Sports Washington's JP Finlay. "Got my feet wet again, got the bugs out."
