Report: Washington made calls to LA about Jared Goff before Stafford trade

Washington also pursued Stafford, but an extra first-round pick put the Rams offer over the edge.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>Those talks obviously never came to fruition, as the Rams ended up using their young QB as the centerpiece for acquiring a more accomplished pass thrower like Stafford.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>Washington is also weighing the Sam Darnold option, NFL Network also reported.
