Arizona native Ryan Fitzpatrick showed his support for the Phoenix Suns at the American Century Championship Golf Tournament in Lake Tahoe, Ca. when he sported a Suns hat during an interview with NBC Sports Washington’s JP Finlay on the Washington Football Talk podcast.
“They’ve been unbelievable this year,” Fitzpatrick said.
“Born and raised in Arizona, the Barkley years were great, the Nash era was awesome. I tell my boys we’ve lived in nine different places so they can pick and choose whatever team they want that’s hot, so my twelve-year-old has been a fan of the Suns for about three weeks. but we’re riding the wave right now” Fitzpatrick added.
The 38-year-old quarterback was in Lake Tahoe for the ACC Golf Tournament which concludes Sunday, July 11th. Selfishly, Fitzpatrick hopes the Suns beat the Milwaukee Bucks in five games so that he will be able to make it to a game.
“I want Suns in five because I want to go to a game. So Suns in four or five," Fitzpatrick said.
