The Washington Football Team secondary has given up the two longest pass plays of the 2020 NFL season thus far. The unit gets a big boost on Sunday, however, as cornerback Kendall Fuller is set to make his season debut after missing the first two weeks of the season with a knee injury.
Washington also received good news regarding right tackle Morgan Moses, who is active for Sunday's contest.
The right tackle entered the day as questionable with a hip injury but was a full participant in practice on Friday. Moses has started every game since Week 1 of the 2015 season.
Steven Sims is also active for Washington. The second-year receiver was also a full participant in practice on Friday, but entered the matchup questionable with a toe injury.
For a second consecutive week, linebacker Cole Holcomb will be sidelined with a knee injury. Veteran Thomas Davis, who was active last week but did not play, could see his first snaps in a Washington uniform this week.
Offensive tackle Saahdiq Charles continues to be out for Washington as well. The rookie continues to nurse a thigh injury after dealing with a calf injury that caused him to miss much of training camp.
For the Browns, cornerback Denzel Ward is active. Ward, the team's top cornerback, will have his hands full with Washington wideout Terry McLaurin.
The two were teammates at Ohio State for three seasons, and McLaurin said earlier this week that they're both similar in terms of their competitive edge and what they bring to the table as a whole.
The Browns will be without two key defensive contributors, as cornerback Greedy Williams and pass rusher Olivier Vernon are both out for Sunday's matchup.
