With a chance to clinch the NFC East Sunday, the Washington Football Team's Week 16 matchup against the Panthers has been flexed out of the early window.
Washington vs. Carolina will now be played at 4:05 p.m. instead of 1 p.m. ET.
The NFL's Week 16 slate now goes as follows:
If the Giants lose to Ravens in the early window, Washington will kick off knowing exactly what they need to do to win the division. If the Giants win and Washington loses, the Giants will take over first place in the division thanks to a head-to-head tiebreaker.
If both teams win, Washington will need to beat the Eagles in Week 17 or get a Giants loss to clinch.
Thanks to a surprising win over the 49ers, the Cowboys remain in the hunt for the division as well at 4-9. They play the Eagles and Giants to close out the year and need some help from both Washington and New York to get in the playoffs.
If Washington loses this week, the Giants lose one of their next two games and the Eagles beat the Cowboys, it will set up a winner-take-all matchup in Week 17 between Washington and Philadelphia.
