The Washington Football Team ended the first half giving up a touchdown to hand over the momentum to the Atlanta Falcons. However, on the first play of the third quarter, Washington took it right back.
On the kick return, DeAndre Carter would score the first Washington kick-off return for a touchdown since 2019 when he went 100 yards to give his team the momentum back.
Carter's touchdown was the first of his career. He picked the right time to reach the end zone as Washington needed that score following what had transpired at the end of the first half.
