Best pizza places open for delivery and pickup in the DMV

While many restaurants and food spots have been forced to temporarily shut down due to the coronavirus pandemic most have shifted to carry out and delivery. 

Coming up with lunch and dinner ideas every day can be stressful, but you can never go wrong with pizza. 

As we continue to practice “social distancing,” here’s a list of the best pizza places that are still open around the DMV area. No particular order. 

Timber Pizza Company 

809 Upshur St NW, Washington, DC 20011

Time Pizza Co. serves unique pizzas and dishes including the famous Timber Pizza Co. pies, fresh mozzarella, zucchini and kale. Take-out orders can be placed over the phone or via Square Tuesday through Sunday from noon to 9 p.m. 

Inferno Pizzeria Napoletana

12207 Darnestown Road, Darnestown, MD, 20878

Crafted with rich tradition, Inferno Pizzeria Napoletana specializes in authentic Naples pizza. It is currently offering its menu by take-out only. Orders can be placed over the phone started at 2 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday. 


2711 12th St NE Washington, DC

Menomale specializes in authentic Neopolitan pizzas and calzones and all of the ingredients are specifically sourced from the Campania region of Italy. To enforce social distancing Menomale is servicing one customer at a time on its patio for pickup. This is the perfect place to order if you’re craving pizza and a draft beer while you watch the draft. 


Pete’s New Haven Style Pizza 

4940 Wisconsin Ave, Washington, DC 20016

Pete’s New Haven Apizza is a chef-driven Italian restaurant that specializes in New Haven style pizza. Pete’s is still open for takeout and is offering all day delivery everyday. Not only does Pete’s have pizza but paninis, pastas, salads and desserts.

Wiseguy Pizza has locations in Chinatown, Navy Yard and Foggy Bottom. Specialty pies include the Wiseguy, Mushroom Truffle, Buffalo and The Godfather. Its now offering curbside pickup. All you have to do is place your order online and pre-pay. 

Tino’s Pizzeria 

3420 Connecticut Ave NW, Washington, DC 20008

Tino’s PIzzeria offers a D.C. pizza that is creatively modern with ingredients sourced from local farmers. Some of the pizza pies are the Octopie, Da tino and the Maxwell. Tino’s is open for delivery and takeout everyday from noon to 8 p.m. 

Italian Pizza Kitchen

4483 Connecticut Ave., NW, Ste B, Washington DC, DC 20008-2329

The Italian Pizza Kitchen is committed to providing quality Italian dishes to customers. Some of the dishes available for pick-up and delivery are both individual and sliced pizzas including supreme, margharita and roasted eggplant in addition to flat bread and wings.

All-Purpose Pizzeria has two locations, one in Shaw and the other in Capitol Riverfront. Takeout and delivery orders are available via Caviar.In addition to the specialty pizzas, other items on the menu include roasted garlic knots, Sicilian wings.
