Louisville benches Behanan for exhibition opener

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) Louisville sophomore forward Chane Behanan must sit out the Cardinals' exhibition opener against Pikeville on Nov. 1 and is banned from talking with the media this semester.

Coach Rick Pitino said Sunday that Behanan was involved in some unspecified ``incidents'' this summer and was warned that another would lead to him missing games.

The 6-foot-6 Behanan, who averaged 9.5 points and 7.5 points last season, was not available during media day interviews. He played 34 minutes for the White squad in Sunday's scrimmage, recording 13 points (including a 3-pointer), 11 rebounds and 4 blocks.

The Red squad won 85-74.

The Cardinals will play another exhibition on Nov. 7 against Bellarmine before opening the regular season four days later against Manhattan.

5 things to know about new Wizards forward Okaro White

The Washington Wizards are set to add power forward, Okaro White to their NBA roster. Here are five things to know about the newest Wizards player.

1. White, 26, is a 6-foot-8, 205-pound power forward who played two seasons for the Miami Heat. In 41 total games, White averaged 2.9 points, 2.3 rebounds and shot 38.8 percent from the field. Though he never appeared in games with them, White also spent time with the Cavs, Hawks and Spurs. He also played Summer League for the Mavs and Grizzlies.

2. He has a decent outside shot for a big man. White has shot 35.6 percent from three in the NBA and made 37.5 percent from long range as a senior at Florida State. The fact he's an excellent free throw shooter is also a good sign. White made 79.9 percent from the line in college and has shot 86 percent in the G-League and 88 percent in the NBA.

3. White played with former Wizards first-round pick Chris Singleton in college. White was a freshman, while Singleton was a junior and the star of the team. White was also a starter on the 2011-12 team that won the Seminoles' first-ever ACC championship.

4. Though he's a bit undersized for a big man, White can block shots. He once had four in a game against the Nets on Jan. 25 of 2017 and three against the Sixers in March of that year.

5. White's mom, Charmaine, was an Olympic athlete who represented Jamaica in track and field.

Redskins at Cowboys Week 12: Date, time, TV channel, live stream, how to watch

It's Dallas week. Again.

The Redskins defeated the Cowboys in Week 7, but when they travel to AT&T Stadium for a Thanksgiving clash with their bitter rivals, things feel a lot different than they were just a few weeks ago. The Redskins will be without quarterback Alex Smith, who suffered a gruesome ankle injury this past Sunday against Houston and will miss the remainder of the season.

It's officially Colt McCoy time in Washington, and his first test comes on the road Thursday. The last time McCoy played in Dallas, he led the Redskins to a shocking upset over the Cowboys on Monday Night Football in 2014.

The Cowboys have been playing good football the past two weeks, defeating Philadelphia and Atlanta in each of their respective stadiums. Dallas returns home to host their annual Thanksgiving game, a date they have played on every year but two since 1966. The Cowboys overall record on Thanksgiving is 29-18-1.

The last time the Cowboys hosted the Redskins on Thanksgiving was two years ago, when Dallas defeated the Redskins 31-26. Prior to that, the Redskins defeated the Cowboys on Thanksgiving in 2012, 38-31.

The Redskins have not had much success on Thanksgiving, with an overall record of 3-10, although they did defeat the New York Giants on Thanksgivng 20-10 last year. Thursday's contest will mark the third consecutive season the Redskins play on Thanksgiving, a franchise record.

The Cowboys lead the all-time series record, 70-45-2.
