In an online address to the University of Maryland Wednesday, athletic director Damon Evans announced the school's plans to upgrade its athletic facilities.
The plans include a $15 million jumbotron for Maryland Stadium and $25 million to improve the facilities of non-revenue teams.
This will bring an enhancement to the Field Hockey and Women's Lacrosse Stadium, an indoor hitting and pitching facility for the baseball and softball programs and an indoor hitting facility for the golf team.
Maryland also plans to provide upgrades to the Track and Field stadium, Soccer stadium and expansion to Gossett Hall (Football).
Evans stated his goal with this move is to take care of all their athletic teams, which they have "big plans" for while doing it in a financially sustainable way.
