Is a hat trick in football a thing?
If it is, the Maryland Terrapins' Jeshaun Jones just perfected it to a tee.
Jones scored a touchdown in every offensive category in the Terps' season opener against the #23 Texas Longhorns. He rushed for, threw, and caught a touchdown.

Even more impressive, these were the first three touches of the freshman's college football career.
He became the first freshman to complete the feat since Heisman Trophy winner Marcus Mariota in 2012 according to 247 Sports. But Jones is not a quarterback, and does not touch the ball 40-60 times a game, making the three touchdown hat trick all the more incredible.
Jones, at 6-2, 190 pounds, was a three-star recruit from Florida and finished the game with 121 all-purpose yards to go with his three touchdowns.
