Miami Marlins starting pitcher Jose Urena drilled Anthony Rendon in the left elbow during the 3rd inning of Saturday night's game inside Marlins Park, forcing the third baseman to exit early.
Rendon entered Saturday with a league-high 17-game hitting streak and .377 batting average. 'Tony Two Bag's' 10 doubles lead Major League Baseball in that category.
According to the Washington Post's Jesse Dougherty, X-Rays were negative on Rendon's elbow and the Nationals will evaluate him in the morning.
His injury came during what ended up being a disappointing loss for the Nationals, who fell to the Marlins 9-3.
