Dr. Anthony Fauci's first pitch is now a bobblehead

Nationals

The moment we’ve all been waiting for is finally here: Dr. Anthony Fauci now has his own bobblehead!

Since Fauci threw the first pitch on Opening Day on July 23 at Nationals Park, his memorable moment on the mound has taken the sports memorabilia world by storm as first the best-selling baseball card in Topps NOW history and now a bobblehead.

The nation’s leading coronavirus expert and die-hard Nationals fan is pictured in his Nats attire winding up to throw the first pitch on a mound that reads “First Pitch 2020.” The bobblehead even features his world champions mask, which he wore on the day of the pitch and a week later at a congressional hearing

Now available for preorder at Foco.com, the bobblehead is selling for $40. Fauci joins a long line of D.C. sports legends to be enshrined in bobblehead form including Alex Ovechkin and Tom Wilson who both have their own currently for sale on Foco’s website.

While Fauci’s pitch may not have gone as well as he hoped, it certainly will go down as one of the most memorable in Nationals Park history.
