Saturday's doubleheader between the Rochester Red Wings and the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs was postponed after Lehigh Valley third baseman Daniel Brito suffered a medical emergency in the first inning, according to the Rochester Democrat & Chronicle.

Brito, 23, began to wobble in the bottom of the first inning of the first game before Red Wings manager Matt LeCroy caught him. LeCroy was in the third-base coaching box while his team was batting.

Brito remained on the ground for approximately 20 minutes before being taken to a local hospital.

After roughly an hour of deliberation between the umpiring crew, Major League Baseball, the managers of both clubs and Red Wings general manager Dan Mason, the game was postponed.

The Venezuelan third baseman was signed by the Phillies during the 2014-15 season and has played in the minor league system since. This is his first season in Triple-A.

His condition is still unknown, according to a statement released by the Phillies on Saturday night.
