The Nationals have displayed a new sign outside one of the entrances to their stadium, one that recognizes the racial inequality that is still prevalent in America in 2020.

On Monday, pictures surfaced of a large 'Black Lives Matter' sign on a video board outside of Nationals Park.

Under 'Black Lives Matter' was the Nationals' logo, as well as the word "unity."

Several players on the team have been outspoken about the racial injustices in America following the death of George Floyd on May 25, which sparked protests throughout the country demanding justice. The Nationals issued a team statement, encouraging "our fellow citizens to lead by example."

Earlier this month, less than four miles Northwest from Nationals Park, D.C. Mayor Murial Bowser created 'Black Lives Matter Plaza' on a part of 16th street leading up to the White House with a matching mural.
