Most baseball fans would love the opportunity to catch a home run in the stands of the World Series. When ballpark-priced beer is involved, however, that could be another story.
At least for one fan.
What a legend 🤣

This fan was double fisting with 2 beers and took Yordan's home run ball to the gut! pic.twitter.com/9Tfi8uiyhy
When Houston Astros rookie Yordan Álvarez hit a home run in the second inning, a Nats fan was a bit too busy to catch what would've been a memorable souvenir - even if it was an Astros score.
If it was a Nationals home run hit over the fence, maybe it would be another outcome. But, when you're holding $25 worth of Bud Lights in your hands, that's a tough split decision to make. Moving towards the ball as it neared him, the Nats fan perhaps wanted the best of both worlds as the ball eventually thumped his midsection.
Thankfully, the beers remained intact.
Twitter, however, had all of the jokes.
Ok a beer at Nationals Park is like $15 so I can understand why he held on for dear life https://t.co/89V7JXy87U

Nationals fan holding two beers and absorbed Alvarez’s HR missile into your gut, got the ball, didn’t spill a drop - you are my spirit animal

Great job by the #Nationals fan who did not drop either beer and played the ball off his stomach. Must be a former catcher or goaliepic.twitter.com/ke9r8X7PX3
