Sunday's matchup between the Washington Nationals and Baltimore Orioles took an interesting turn when a rain delay turned into a postponement after the grounds crew at Nationals Park struggled to unroll the tarp.
By the time the issues were finally resolved, the field had taken in too much water, forcing the teams to reschedule the rest of the game. The video of the crew struggling became a viral sensation on the internet that some called "TarpGate." Numerous users chimed in with analysis and jokes, and even the Orioles broadcast booth shared its thoughts on the debacle.
But, the award for best commentary on the moment may go to Jomboy, a popular baseball commenter who has become famous for his comical analysis of some of the game's wildest scenes. The tarp delay in Washington was a dream scenario for him to breakdown, and he delivered.

With critical explanations of the errors the grounds crew made in rolling out the tarp and voice-overs for dramatic effect, the entire clip makes a funny situation even funnier. Jomboy's best take comes right at the beginning when he notes that the whole situation was doomed from the start.
A play-by-play of a tarp snafu that postponed a baseball game really is about as 2020 as it gets.
