The Washington Nationals are just about two weeks away from Opening Day.
Here are the latest news and notes from Spring Training.
The Nationals signed veteran left-handed reliever Tony Sipp to the squad Wednesday morning. Sipp finished last season with a 1.86 ERA over 38 2/3 innings. Adding Sipp allows another left-hander to go with Matt Grace, who was the club's only left-handed reliever outside of closer Sean Doolittle.
Right-handed pitcher Justin Miller threw for one pain-free inning during Wednesday's Spring Training game against the Braves. He had been day-to-day with a lower-back muscle strain.
