Out of work because of the government shutdown? Some local college basketball teams are hoping to add some entertainment during this trying time.
The George Mason University and George Washington University athletic departments are offering free tickets to all federal employees during the government shutdown. The complementary tickets are for all home men's and women's basketball games.

For tickets for George Mason games in Fairfax, VA and George Washington games in Foggy Bottom, federal employees are asked to show their government ID to each respective box office to get the complementary tickets. Both schools are offering this deal as long as the government is still shut down.
The George Mason Patriots next game is Wednesday, Jan. 9 at 7:00 p.m. ET where the men's basketball team plays Davidson. The George Washington Colonials men's basketball team plays Dayton on the same day and time.
Additionally, the Capital City Go-Go, the Wizards G-league affiliate, are giving away tickets to those affected by the furlough. The play on Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m. ET in Congress Heights.
