Week 8 is here, let's get to it!
Going into Week 8, the Boston College Eagles will host NC State for their homecoming game. Boston College should be well-rested coming off of a bye week while the Wolfpack squad defeated Syracuse 16-10 in week 7.
NC State had its best defensive performance of the season against Syracuse in week 7. So far this season the Wolfpack has allowed just 2.3 yards per carry on the ground and has been ranked 22nd in the nation in scoring defense by allowing just 19 points per game.
Saturday’s game is expected to be a challenge for the Eagles who will be without their starting quarterback Anthony Brown. Earlier this week, Boston College head coach Steve Addazio announced that Brown will be out for the remainder of the season after suffering a leg injury.
Brown was replaced by sophomore Dennis Grosel, who will start against NC State.
NC State is 4-2 overall and 0-2 on the road, while Boston College is 3-3 overall and 2-2 at home.
In the latest odds, the Wolfpack are favored by 3.6 points.
The Eagles lead the all-time series 9-7, but the Wolfpack holds a 5-4 record out of the last nine meetings
