BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) LSU coach Les Miles says punter Brad Wing has been suspended for ninth-ranked LSU's game against No. 14 Clemson in the Chick-fil-A Bowl for an unspecified violation of team rules.
The announcement of Wing's suspension on Thursday means sophomore punter from Australia will be replaced in the lineup by freshman Jamie Keehn, who is also Australian.
Wing has averaged 44.8 yards on 59 punts for the Tigers this season.
Wing has been a Ray Guy Award semifinalist but is perhaps best known for scoring a long touchdown out of punt formation during the 2011 season, only to have the score nullified by his premature celebration before he'd crossed the goal line.
Lamar Jackson is incredible, and he finds new ways to add to his MVP resume each week.
That continued against the Bills, one of the stingiest defenses in the NFL. It didn't matter for Jackson, who showed off his elusiveness on the ground early and often.
Let's track all the ways Jackson made our jaws drop this week.
- Jackson breaks all of the ankles on one run
- He passes 1,000 yards on the ground on the same move, which will show again because it's unbelievable
- Even when he gets tackled for a loss, he can wow with a stiff arm
- It doesn't always look pretty, but nobody's better when a play breaks down
Lamar Jackson is better at football than most people are at anything.
He proved it once more early in the first quarter against the Bills, breaking two more ankles en route to gaining a first down on the ground.
Bills linebacker Matt Milano, who, it needs to be mentioned, is paid a lot of money to tackle people, completely whiffs on Jackson here. He tackles the air while falling to the ground, and will forever have to watch his attempted tackle on highlight reels.
Lamar Jackson can't stop putting NFL defenders to shame, and we can't stop laughing watching them.
