O's grab second straight against Yankees after snapping long losing streak

Orioles

The Orioles overcame one their biggest dominators on Saturday.

Following the New York Yankees won their 19th straight against Baltimore after their 6-5 series-opening win on Friday, the O's got their revenge with two wins of their own.

Baltimore and Ryan Mountcastle finally ended the lengthy streak of defeats against the Yankees in Game 2 earlier later on Friday with a 6-3 victory. The Orioles matched that score as a pitching crew led by Keegan Akin limited New York to two less runs and helped get the 6-1 win.

In 5.1 innings pitched, Akin gave up three hits. Left fielder DJ Stewart homered twice in the sixth and seventh innings to lead offensively.
