Starting pitcher Nate Karns is being checked out by O's doctors after suffering from continued discomfort in his right forearm. He has been on IL for the last three weeks.
John Means allowed four runs over five innings in the Orioles' loss Monday. The righty allowed six hits and walked one while striking out two. Means also gave up a pair of two-run homers.
Catcher Pedro Severino went 2-for-3 with a home run and a walk Monday night. Severino got the O's on the board in the third inning after hitting a solo shot off of Manny Banuelos.
Right handed pitcher Manny Banuelos struck out six and allowed two runs over 5 2/3 innings Monday night. He allowed five hits, one home run, walked three and struck out six in the 5-3 win.
Tim Anderson crushed a two-run homer in the third inning to give the White Sox a 4-1 lead Monday. It was the sixth home run of the season for the shortstop.
Designated hitter Yonder Alonso got the White Sox on the board in the second inning with a two-run shot off John Means. It was his fifth home run of the season.
