The Baltimore Orioles (10-18) have lost the first two on the road in Minnesota this weekend. Here's your news and notes as they look to avoid the sweep.
Outfielder Trey Mancini has been the Orioles' best player in 2019, but he received a scare when he fouled a ball off his right hand in his first at-bat. He reached on a single and was removed from the game. X-rays were negative.
Dan Straily allowed one unearned run in four innings, and recorded three strikeouts while not picking up a decision Saturday. He needed 89 pitches to get through his four innings, and sports a 6.75 ERA on the season.
C.J. Cron went 2-for-4 for the Twins Saturday afternoon, crushing a two-run home run to help Minnesota beat the Orioles. He's hitting just .250, but now has five home runs on the season.
Starting pitcher Jose Berrios struck out eight batters in six innings, allowing two runs in a win over the Orioles. He scattered seven hits and did not issue a walk.
