Baltimore Orioles Roundup: Pitchers Dylan Bundy and Nate Karns struggle in respective starts

In their first game coming out of the All-Star break, it was much of the same for the Orioles, who lost to the Rays, 16-4.

Here's the latest news around the club.

Player News

P Dylan Bundy allowed seven runs in the one inning he pitched Friday. He told reporters after the game that he'd been battling knee trouble before he took the mound, but tried to pitch through it. If his knee will let him, he'll try to get back on track Wednesday against the Washington Nationals.

P Nate Karns made his fifth rehab appearance Friday at Triple-A Norfolk while attempting to come back from a strained forearm that's kept him out since April. He lasted just two thirds of an inning, allowing three runs on two hits and three walks before being pulled. One would think that he'd have recovered from a forearm strain three months later, but he may need to have better outings in the minors before the Orioles call him back up.
