Baltimore Orioles Roundup: Trey Mancini dons golden sombrero in loss to Rays

The Orioles were shut out by the Tampa Bay Rays 7-0 Friday night.

Here's the latest Orioles and Rays news.

Player Notes:

Trey Mancini donned the golden sombrero in Friday's loss, going 0-4 with four strikeouts. Mancini's been one of the few bright spots in Baltimore's lineup this season, but things went very poorly against the Rays.

Dan Straily's record fell to 1-3 on the season as he gave up five runs on nine hits in 4 1/3 innings of work Friday. A three-run homer in the fourth inning was the big blow, Straily's ERA jumping to 7.43 after another rough start.

Mike Zunino delivered that big blow, his third home run of the season putting Tampa Bay up 4-0. LF Tommy Pham collected three hits and drove in two runs, while DH Nate Lowe recorded his first career RBI with a sacrfice fly in the sixth inning.

RHP Tyler Glasnow continued his dominant start to the season, tossing seven scoreless innings and striking out eight Orioles. The 25-year old is now 6-0 on the season and sports the AL's best ERA at 1.47.
