Orioles Roundup: O's dropped 10-9 by Seattle Mariners


The Orioles allowed 10 runs or more for the 14th time this season as the Seattle Mariners downed them 10-9.

Player Notes: 

  • In 2 and 1/3 innings, starting pitcher Sean Gilmartin allowed five runs on seven hits. He walked a pair of batters and only notched one strikeout. 
  • Pedro Severino continues to be a bright spot for the O's. He's hitting .289 with eight homers and one steal in 162 plate appearances this season, and against the Mariners Friday went 3-for-4 with three RBI and added a pair of runs from the designated hitter spot.
  • Since returning from injury, Dwight Smith, Jr's bat has been hot. Against the Mariners, he notched three singles and kick-started the O's late rally.
